exposure sheet

An exposure sheet is a paper tool used in traditional animation to track the elements of an animation, such as characters and backgrounds, and the length of time that each drawing in an element appears in the final animation.

Sometimes the exposure sheet is also referred to as a dope sheet.

Toon Boom Studio provides an electronic Exposure Sheet window that you can use to organize your element layers.
